HistoplasmosisDuring the last five years, there has been increasing awareness of previously overlooked aspects of histoplasma infection in man. Schwarz, Baum and Floyd have emphasized that multiple primary lesions may occur in the lungs simultaneously, producing roentgenologic infiltrates which wax and wane for a period of months or years before eventual healing.104 Mediastinal adenopathy due to Histoplasma capsulatum has produced obstruction of both the trachea and the superior vena cava.105 , 106 I have observed a case of Loeffler's syndrome due to histoplasma infection and have also seen a patient who had wandering pneumonia involving, over a two-year period, all 5 . . .This publication has 75 references indexed in Scilit:
