Abstract
Summary: Changes in the lithostratigraphical nomenclature of the Middle Jurassic strata of north-east Yorkshire are proposed which avoid the genetic connotations of existing terms such as Estuarine Series and Deltaic Series and which eliminate certain equivocal aspects of previous nomenclatures. A new marine unit has been recognized which is believed to include the beds previously described as the Hydraulic Limestone. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
