Abstract
From the clinical point of view, histologic classification and staging of tumors have two functions. They are intended to give suggestions for therapy and to provide the basis for an assessment of the end results. Every comparison of different methods of treatment is only meaningful so long as the prognostically different subgroups are known. Keywords
