Abstract
We review progress in identification of electromagnetic systems. We introduce the basic ideas with a brief discussion of forward and inverse problems. We next give some history, emphasizing the basic issues involved. We follow with some results and an assessment of present capabilities and limitations. We conclude with some recommendations for future work in electromagnetic identificationKeywords
