Abstract
A liquid helium cooled two-beam far infrared interferometer has been successfully flown in a Black Brant III B rocket. The detector was a germanium bolometer cooled to a temperature of 0.37 K by a liquid He3 refrigerator. The sensitive range was between approximately 5 and 50 cm−1. Satisfactory cosmic spectra were not obtained because of contamination by radiation from the earth. Keywords
