Abstract
The Karl Fischer reagent was applied to the analysis of moisture in dairy products and found to be satisfactory for butter oil, butter, dry milk solids, and sweetened condensed milk. It is not satisfactory for products containing > 20% moisture. Direct titration with the Karl Fischer reagent was found to be satisfactory when a glass-platinum electrode assembly was used with a Beckman pH meter. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
