Abstract

In a case of Bornholm disease complicated by orchitis and myocarditis in the adult, the etiologic agent was found to be Coxsackie virus, group B, type 4. This is believed to be the first reported occurrence of myocarditis in the adult due to this particular strain of Coxsackie virus.
