Abstract
Present models for prescribing the configuration of a firm's physical distribution system generally fail to consider order service time as a variable, though there is reason to believe buyers are influenced by service time differentials among suppliers. This article attempts to clarify how retailers discriminate among levels of service time available.Keywords
