Abstract
A tannic substance named neocretanin was isolated from chestnut galls by chromatographic separation. The chemical structure of neocretanin was established as l-O-(2′,6′-dihydroxy-4′-formyl)-phenyl-6-O-gaIloyl-β-d-giucopyranose (I) on the basis of spectral analyses and enzymatic hydrolyses. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
