Abstract
New measurements of the spin polarization of photoelectrons from nickel single crystals are shown to be compatible with a simple band-theory interpretation. The value of the gap between the + spin Fermi energy and the top of the band is estimated from the data to be about 75 meV, in good agreement with other estimates.
