Abstract
Spin‐exchange interactions of MnCl2 in molten LiCl/KCl eutectic over the temperature range 700°—1200°K have been studied by the method of electron magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The resonance linewidths are determined by the exchange‐narrowing process under the experimental conditions used in the present investigation. p, the probability that a paramagnetic ion—paramagnetic ion encounter will result in exchange, is found to be given by the expression pT≈1—exp(—Cη/T), where C is a constant, η is the solvent viscosity, and T is the absolute temperature. Keywords
