Abstract
We have discovered a simple optical system that makes use of a unique property of ellipsoidal mirrors, viz., light brought to one focus will be reflected alternately through the two foci and collapse to the major axis. Raman-scattered light from atmospheric N2 indicates that gains of the order of 100 should be achievable with this new system. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
