THE ARTERIAL SUPPLY OF HORSESHOE KIDNEYS

Abstract
The basic patterns of arterial supply to horseshoe kidneys are described as well as our experience with 14 cases. Knowledge of the variations in vascular anatomy is important to the radiologist, who has the responsibility of demonstrating all the vessels and to the surgeon who may have to operate for one or more of the frequent complications which occur in horseshoe kidneys.
