Abstract
With the proliferation of private-for-profit rehabilitation, the issue of ethics in the practice of rehabilitation has a developed sense of urgency. The fact that private rehabilitation has grown so dramatically reveals that rehabilitation counseling is filling a need in the private sector. Nevertheless, the litigation process common to worker's compensation cases makes demands on the rehabilitation counselor which may be ethically compromising. This article specifically addresses what constitutes unethical practice in private-for-profit rehabilitation by applying the highly developed ethical guidelines applied in the profession of psychology. Keywords
