Abstract
Methods are expounded for fitting the curve defined by the differential equation dW/dt = [kappa] W[l -(W/A)1/[theta]. When sample values of lnW are independent and of equal variance. Tables to help the computation are provided. The effect on the accuracy of the parameter estimates of the range of the curve covered by the data is discussed, and also the difficulties involved in extending the method to the equation dW/dt = [alpha]W [zeta] -BW [eta].
