Abstract
The family of electroneutral chloride-coupled co-transporters has been expanded in the past year by the identification of new genes or new alternatively spliced isoforms of already known genes. In this review, we discuss the molecular cloning of new members of the family, the knowledge revealed by the production of transgenic animals and some new aspects of the functional characteristics of co-transporters.Keywords
