Abstract
We determined the DNA sequence of the hag gene of Escherichia coli K-12 and deduced the primary structure of the flagellin consisting of 497 amino acid residues. Comparison of the amino acid sequence with those of other bacterial flagellins revealed a high homology in the NH2- and COOH-terminal regions. This publication has 29 references indexed in Scilit:
