Abstract
Baffles 12 inches high placed in yellow water trays increased the total capture of 4 aphid species from 154 to 347 specimens. There was no uniform response to the baffles by the four designated species. The corn leaf aphid (Rhopalosiphum maidis) and the greenbug (Toxoptera graminum) were captured in significantly greater numbers in baffled trays. The apple grain and corn leaf aphids were taken most abundantly. Both showed peaks of flight activity. The English grain aphid and apple grain aphid were captured as late as December 5, 1960.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
