Comment on the DeGrand-Miettinen model for the polarization of lambda in proton-proton collisions

Abstract
We point out the difficulty of the DeGrand-Miettinen model which has been taken as a standard model for the polarization of produced in proton-proton collisions. The model breaks down if one treats properly the spin-orbit interaction for the strange quark inside the baryon.
