Abstract
A nonlinear spectrally selective Sagnac interferometer based on a special configuration of a birefringent fiber is demonstrated. Spectral resolution less than 1 nm can be easily obtained. The theoretical and experimental characteristics of the mirror are derived. The applications of this fiber reflector as a multichroic mirror and passive mode-locking and Q-switching element are discussed. Keywords
