Abstract
Unlike acne conglobata, cystic acne, or tropical acne the syndrome of acute febrile ulcerative acne is sudden in onset, and associated with severe ulcerations, fever, and polyarthralgias. Comedo formation is not pronounced. Ulcers are filled with gelatinous granulation tissue. Response to curettage and corticosteroid hormone therapy is generally prompt, but malaise and arthralgias may persist for a long time. Keywords
