Abstract
Homogenates of Walker carcinosarcoma 256, Jensen sarcoma, -Flexner-Jobling carcinoma, Novikoff hepatoma, a primary hepatoma induced by 3[image]-methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene (MDAB), transplanted MDAB hepatoma and normal liver deaminated adenosine-5[image]-monophos-phate (AMP). The deamination activity in the primary MDAB hepatoma was equivalent to that of normal liver, while the Novikoff hepatoma and the transplanted MDAB hepatoma had significantly higher activity than either the primary hepatoma or normal liver. The results suggested that potential for AMP deamination was not deleted by azo-dye carcinogenesis in rat liver. Keywords
