Abstract
Summary Pregnant mice were given single intraperitoneal injections of caffeine on different days of gestation. When injections were administered between 9th and 14th days, malformations, predominantly in the skeletal system, were observed. Superficial hematomas observed in vicinity of anomalies may have been concerned in development of some of these malformations. No macroscopic or microscopic changes were observed in placentae of malformed young. Keywords
