Abstract
In some samples of Crotalaria trifoliastrum Willd., the major alkaloids are 1-methoxymethyl-1,2-dehydro-8α-pyrrolizidine and 7β-hydroxy-1-methoxymethyl-1,2-dehydro-8α-pyrrolizidine, the methyl ethers of supinidine and retronecine respectively ; in other samples, the former alkaloid is largely replaced by a third non-ester alkaloid, C9H15O2N. The first two are the major alkaloids also of C. aridicola Domin. Keywords
