Abstract
The theory of a time-varying line is given for two special cases: (a) constant impedance, variable velocity; (b) discontinuous change of impedance. In (a), the time scale of a signal on the line can be transformed linearly using a largely arbitrary velocity function. In (b), a reflected wave is generated, whose time scale is inverted. Keywords
