Abstract
There are various methods for transforming probable maximum precipitation (PMP) to probable maximum flood (PMF). Each method involves several steps during which certain assumptions have to be made and subjective judgments exercised. A number of case studies, each for a project of a different type and under different hydrologic data situations, are presented that reflect the writers' basic philosophies and experience in PMF analysis. Some conclusions regarding transformation of PMP to PMF are made based on their experiences not only from the case studies presented but also from many other projects with which they have been involved. Keywords
