Abstract
The strength of the interface between bone and uncoated, collagen-coated, and albumin-coated phosphate-bonded alumina implants was determined. Coating the ceramic had no effect on interface strength. The strength of the interface was significantly less than the strength of the repair tissue in normally healed bone. Keywords
