Abstract
There are 3 major clinical manifestations of altitude illness in humans: acute mountain sickness, high altitude pulmonary edema and cerebral edema. They often occur together and probably represent a physiological response to hypoxia. The mechanism, management and prevention of altitude illness are discussed. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
