Abstract
The pollen morphology of the tribes Colignonieae, Boldoeae and Leucastereae is described, and scanning micrographs and a taxonomic discussion are provided. The Colignonieae have 12-pantoporate grains with a spinulose and tubuliferous sexine; the Boldoeae have 3-colpate grains with a finely spinulose and tubuliferous sexine; and the Leucastereae have 3-colpate grains with either a spinulose and tubuliferous sexine or coarsely reticulate pattern. Also, the pollen of the genus Phaeoptilum (subtribe Phaeoptilinae, tribe Nyctagineae) which was not available earlier is described and scanning micrographs are included. Keywords
