Abstract
An efficient surgical technique of collecting eggs from the oviducts of mares is described. Within 6 days after ovulation recovery was successful in 22/29 mares. The technique has been used to investigate the retention and ageing of eggs in the oviducts and to determine the origin and the nature of the accessory CL during pregnancy.
