States in 12C from resonant proton scattering

Abstract
The (p, p) elastic scattering cross-section on 11B has been measured between Ep = 3.0 and 5.2 MeV. Analysis with the R-matrix formalism establishes four levels in 12C at E x ~ 19 MeV (JII = 4-), 19.20 MeV (J II = 1-), 19.50 MeV (JII = 2- ) and 19.70 MeV (JII = 1+).
