Abstract
Two new species of chytrids are described from 2 lakes and a river in Washtenaw County, Michigan, namely Rhizophydium pelagicum and R. horizontale, parasitic on Colacium sp. and Stephanodiscus sp., respectively. Further details in the life history of Amphicypellus elegans and of a species previously noted by Canter as parasitic on Rhizosolenia eriensls from England are given. New records for the United States are listed for the following taxa: Septolpldium lineare, Rhizophydium planktonlcum, Rhizophydium fragllariae, Rhizosiphon anabaenae, Polyphagus ramosus, and Endocoenobium sp.This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
