Abstract
This study reports vibrating-reed measurements of Young’s modulus and internal friction made as a function of temperature, from 50–400 K, on single-crystal whiskers of with ≊75 K. The modulus along a is found to be lower than any earlier reported value for this material. Comparisons are made to results of previous work conducted by different methods and on platelet samples with higher .
