Abstract
From Jan. 1, 1973-Dec. 31, 1975, 219 human cases (121 males, 98 females) of monoclonal gammapathies were studied; 121 were myeloma (mean age 66 yr), 38 were Waldenstrom''s macroglobulinemia (mean age 70 yr) and 19 were benign monoclonal gammapathies (mean age 73 yr). Immunoelectrophoresis detected 110 immunoglobulin [Ig] G, 46 Ig A, 49 Ig M and 8 L chain myelomas and 1 myeloma without monoclonal component. Bence-Jones proteinuria was detected in 51.1% of cases. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
