Abstract
A female patient with hypogammaglobulinaemia had gastroenteritis due to Campylobacter fetus ssp jejuni of exceptionally long duration—4 months. The illness did not subside until a second course of erythromycin was given for 3 weeks. In patients with hypogammaglobulinaemia, Campylobacter fetus ssp jejuni infection should be kept in mind as a cause of prolonged diarrhoea in addition to Salmonella, Giardia lamblia and inflammatory diseases of the intestines. Keywords
