Abstract
Blood (0.5 cc.) is laked with 6.5 cc. water and left for 3 min. 30% Salicylsulphonic acid (0.5 cc.) is added, mixed and left for 10 min. After filtration through 2 papers 2 cc. clear filtrate is treated with 0.5 cc. 7% p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde in 7 vol. % H2SO4. The yellow color is compared in a microcolorimeter, fitted with a blue or violet filter, with a neutral grey screen (Ilford) or a standard soln. of sulphanilic acid in 2% salicylsulphonic acid. A method for estimation of the acetyl derivatives'' of the drugs is also described. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
