Coupling between Electrostatic Ion Cyclotron Waves and Ion Acoustic Waves

Abstract
We have observed the linear coupling between an electrostatic ion cyclotron wave and an ion acoustic wave near the second-harmonic ion cyclotron frequency for propagation of an electrostatic ion wave along a magnetic field, where the wave number perpendicular to the magnetic field exists.
