Abstract
Skeletal muscle plays an important role in whole-body metabolism. Some research has used cell cultures raised from human biopsy tissue to study mechanisms that regulate skeletal muscle metabolism. The purpose of the current paper is to provide evidence indicating the efficacy of primary human skeletal muscle cell cultures as a tool to study substrate regulation and control in human tissue. Keywords
