Abstract
Effective research utilization in program planning and implementation is a continuing problem in both developed and less developed nations. This is particularly so in social programs. This paper addresses the issue from the standpoint of some twelve years of experience in the Bangladesh population program. The focus of this paper is on communication between administrators and researchers—the problems that arise, and the strategies that may be used to facilitate communication in order to improve use of research findings. Keywords
