Abstract
Electromagnetic surface waves on a gyromagnetic single crystalline YIG rod waveguide were measured by a disturbing body technique in a surface wave resonator. Both the volume and surface‐mode surface waves were measured under conditions when magnetostatic analysis is not valid. Experimental results are presented to show that important nonmagnetostatic characteristics of surface wave propagation revealed in the dispersion plot have all been verified. Keywords
