Abstract
''Anik'' is a landrace cultivar of Medicago falcata developed in Alberta, Canada. In comparison with cultivars ''Rambler'' and ''Beaver'', ''Anik'' is higher yielding at the most northern locations, superior in winter hardiness, more tolerant to Plenodomus meliloti, the crown-rot complex and snowmold, and is recommended for areas north of latitude 57.degree. N in NW Canada, and other areas where only 1 cut is made. It is suitable for grazing, and possibly also for roadside seeding and ecological repair.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
