Expression of Electric Fields for Systems of Dielectric-Coatef Cyliderical Conductors

Abstract
Electric fields of dielectric-coated cylindrical conductors either on a grounded plane conductor or inside a grounded conducting cylinder are expressed by the method of images in combination with the charge simulation method. A method of images for presenting electric fields of line charges in dielectric cylinders either on a plane conductor or inside a conducting cylinder, is shown. Numerical examples show that calculated fields satisfy the conditions on conducting surfaces and on dielectric boundaries, with good accuracy for practical purposes.
