Abstract
Communications between statisticians and engineers or physical scientists range from outstanding to awful, but overall there are strong indications of serious problems that need resolution. Guided by input from many professionals with successes and scars from working at this interface, this article attempts to document the problems that affect communications and to outline remedies.Keywords
