Abstract
Aurintricarboxylic acid (ATA) inhibits protein synthesis directed by polyuridylic acid. All steps tested are inhibited by ATA. We conclude that inhibition of polyphenylalanine formation is an additive effect of inhibition of various steps in the protein synthetic machinery. Keywords
