Vitamin E Levels in Maternal and Fetal Blood Plasma

Abstract
Plasma vit. E levels were detd. in 23 women at various stages of pregnancy and on 54 mothers at term and their infants at birth. The level rises in the latter part of pregnancy and at parturition is about 65% higher than for [male] [male] and for non-pregnant [female] [female] The mean level for mothers at term was 1.70 mg. %, for new-born infants (umbilical cord lasma) 0.34 mg. %.Keywords
