Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A 57-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of pain in the arm.She was well until seven months previously, when she noticed pain in the left side of the chest on elevation of the arm; straining and coughing provoked pain and tingling that extended from the left axilla to the elbow. Five months before entry she began to awake during the night with pain that spread from the left scapula into the left arm.
