Abstract
Laparoscopy has become the standard approach for the surgical management of a variety of benign gynecological conditions. Numerous studies have reported their findings on the laparoscopic approach for the treatment of patients with endometrial cancer. It is timely and relevant to provide a review of these findings. Comparison analysis of recurrence and survival rates for patients treated by laparoscopy and laparotomy have found similar results. A similar or reduced cost is noted for the laparoscopic approach. Numerous patient advantages are indicated for the laparoscopic approach. This information is detailed in this review. The open abdominal approach is an alternative to laparoscopy for the surgical treatment of patients with early endometrial cancer. Keywords
