Abstract
With in-crease in concentration of oxamate, the expired C14O2 is increased with glucose-6-C14 substrate and essentially unchanged with glucose -1-C14 substrate. Simultaneously, the amounts of residual glucose increase and accumulated lactate decrease. These findings are compatible with the observations that oxamate inhibits the conversion of pyruvate to lactate by the enzyme lactic dehydrogenase. Keywords
