Abstract
Transparent coarse-grained PLZT ceramic of the type: Pb(1–1. 5X)δLaxTi1−yZry03 has been produced with 0.072 < x < 0.092, y = 0.65 and 0.70, and 1.06 < δ < 1. 25. The optimum material has shown ‘double-loop’ hysteresis and is suitable for small angle electrically-controlled light scattering applications. The electrical hysteresis and scattering ratio parameters were found to be dependent on the concentration of excess PbO (δ) and the grain size. Keywords
