Abstract
A means of representing the ideal transformer by an admittance matrix is given, in contrast to the more usual representation by the transmission matrix. Several possible admittance matrices are developed, together with derived circuits using high gain operational amplifiers. An apparent anomaly in the Reciprocity Principle when applied to these matrices is explained in a manner which may be of interest in related fields of activity. Keywords
